About
Amelie
I was born in France and studied clinical psychology there. I graduated with my Masters degree from the University of Paris VIII. I also hold a Bachelors degree in Foreign Languages (English and Spanish). I have been in the Greater Detroit area since 2008. I have been licensed in the State of Michigan since 2009. I worked in private practices as well as contracting for agencies, focusing on individuals and children.
I currently work for the University of Oakland Counseling Center. I was the Training Director for almost 2 years until after I started my private practice (April 2022). I like working with challenging cases such as childhood abuse and traumatic experiences, grief and loss, depression and anxiety as well as relationships issues (e.g. separation, divorce). I use a variety of clinical tools to help individualize treatment with my clients.
